Carol of Lights Tree 2026 Ornament

Celebrate one of Texas Tech's most cherished holiday traditions with the Carol of Lights Tree 2026 Ornament, the 30th Official Texas Tech Ornament.

The Carol of Lights® Tree has been a beloved part of the Texas Tech holiday season for nearly 60 years. Originally created in 1967 as a 35-foot tree crafted from metal and natural materials, the display has grown into a stunning 43-foot tradition featuring a 5-foot nativity star and 2,900 sparkling lights.

The tree stands in Amon G. Carter Plaza each holiday season, welcoming students, families, alumni, and visitors to campus. Inspired by a photograph from the 1968 holiday season, this commemorative ornament celebrates the history and lasting significance of the Carol of Lights® Tree.
